Pianist BRODY SMITH, began formal music studies at the age of eight. He has performed recitals throughout the United States and France, with successful debuts in New Orleans, Lyon, Paris and San Francisco.
Brody holds degrees from the University of Texas, Austin; The University of California; and, a performance diploma from the New Orleans Institute for the Performing Arts. Dr. Smith was awarded the prestigious Fletcher-Jones Fellowship for academic excellence in 2007. He is both a medieval scholar and a Proust scholar.
He has served on both the faculty of the French-American International School of San Francisco, California and the University of California, Davis.
During the 2015-2016 season, Dr. Smith will play recitals and conduct master classes throughout the United States, Great Britain and Brazil. |
