Le nozze di Figaro – new production, directed by Chicago Shakespeare Theater’s Barbara Gaines

Mozart’s masterpiece of mistaken identities, morals, and manners.  The resourceful Figaro is ready to marry the lovely Susanna, but the Count has his eye on Susanna too!  Can Figaro outwit his lecherous employer?

Nabuccothe opera that made Verdi a star returns to Lyric after more than 15 years.

Experience Nabucco’s journey from despised despot to grateful father redeemed by faith.  This Verdi treasure has some of the greatest choral music ever written, including the soul-stirring “Va, pensiero”.
