Relaunch and Lunch Event at The Field Museum – “Toolkit”
The Field Museum and community partners launched the Chicago Community Climate Action Toolkit over two years ago to educate, inspire, and facilitate the efforts of individuals and organizations who want to address climate change at the same time as addressing other pressing concerns in their communities.
We’ve now developed a set of tools a majority of which focus on connecting communities to urban natural areas, fostering well being for both people and the other species that share the urban ecosystem. Tools with other foci include those that make participatory action research more accessible, a template for creating neighborhood bicycle tours, and a guide to green cleaning to aid domestic workers in advocating healthy practices for themselves and their clients.
Join us Friday October 30th from 9am to 3pm to learn about the Toolkit and its new offerings, There will also be opportunities to visit an exhibit, network and enjoy the vegan soul food of Majani Catering.
