2018 Vocal Scholarship Competition and Awards Banquet
COMPETITION
Our 43rd Annual Italian Cultural Center’s Vocal Scholarship Competition was founded by the late Josephine L. LiPuma, a noteworthy operatic talent and Italian Cultural Center Volunteer. The competition took place on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Italian Cultural Center, located at 1621 N. 39th, Stone Park, IL 60165. We awarded $7,000.00 in scholarships this year to five talented winners.

AWARDS BANQUET
The scholarship recipients will showcase their talents at an incredible concert and dinner on Sunday, November 11 at Casa Italia in the Community Center Mentesana Weber Room. Please join us for this most enjoyable evening to help support this wonderful program.
Wine and cheese will be served at 2:00 p.m., a concert at 2:30 p.m., and followed by dinner at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $60.00 per person. RSVP is a must.
Dinner: salad, bread and butter, orecchiette with broccoli, olive oil and garlic and farfalle with tomato cream sauce with peas, rosemary and garlic roast pork and seared rosemary lemon chicken breast, roasted potatoes with garlic and herbs, baked polenta, green beans and Tiramisu and home made thumb print cookies for dessert

Vocal Scholarship Contribution Opportunities Available
We also invite you to help support the arts through your generous contribution sponsoring the Vocal Scholarship program of the Italian Cultural Center. This will enable the Center to award budding opera stars a total of $7,000.00 in scholarships for the exclusive use of continuing the recipients’ vocal education. All other donations are accepted and deeply appreciated. Donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
Core Donors: Donations of $50.00 or more will be listed and gratefully acknowledged in the program book. Tax deductible Value of $50.
Sponsors: Donations of $300.00 or more will entitle sponsors to two tickets to the scholarship dinner. Their names and companies, if desired, will be included in the program book. Tax deductible Value of $240.
Guarantors: Donation of $1,000.00. Guarantors will be memorialized with a permanent listing on the Center’s Guarantor’s plaque, in addition to the above mentioned tokens of gratitude. Tax deductible Value of $960.
