Casa Italia hosts “Trivia” Challenge Italian-Style

Test Your Knowledge while Discovering Surprising New Facts about “The Boot”

(Stone Park, IL) Casa Italia will proudly sponsor a trivia challenge based on Italy’s astonishing culture and delizioso cuisine. It will take place on Thursday evening, November 15h at 7 PM at Casa Italia, 3800 Division Street, Stone Park, IL 60165 Our “MC” for this entertaining and informative evening will be Carla Gambescia, author of La Dolce Vita University: An Unconventional Guide to Italian Culture from A-Z – an eclectic compendium all things Italian: food, wine, history, art, architecture, literature, film, style, and more. Charmingly illustrated, La Dolce Vita University brings the fascinating mosaic of Italy to life with wit, exuberance and joy. It’s a celebration of why we love Italy.

Carla was a former partner in the Ciao Bella Gelato Company. She conceived and co-led the Giro del Gelato bicycle tour which won Outside magazine’s “Best Trip in Western Europe,” and for nearly a decade she owned and operated Via Vanti! Restaurant & Gelateria in Mount Kisco, New York. Via Vanti! won plaudits for its innovative Italian cuisine, extraordinary gelato (named “Best Gelato Shop in New York”) and vibrant program of culinary and cultural events.

Says Gambescia, “This ‘trivia challenge’ has been a big hit at a variety of events across the country: people come away amused, entertained and ultimately awed by the richness of Italy’s cultural and culinary legacy, both historic and contemporary. Even the most sophisticated Italophile will come away with fresh insights and new fun facts to share.”
