Children’s Italian Language Classes

Classes are held in various locations throughout the Chicagoland area.  The year long program runs for 30 weeks. Exploratory Italian classes are offered to children between the ages of 5 and 7 years of age (one hour per week). Beginning through Advance Italian is offered to children between the ages of 8 and 13 (one and 1/2 hours per week).

Students in the exploratory level build their Italian vocabulary with fairy tales like Pinocchio, Il Brutto Anatroccolo (The Ugly Duckling) and I Tre Porcellini (The Three Little Pigs).

Students in higher levels are learning the language and culture with the aid of textbooks, handouts, videos, games and songs.

All levels are exposed to memorable cultural experiences.  During the holiday season children learn Italian holiday songs and the Christmas legend of “La Befana.”  For “Carnevale” the Italian Mardi Gras, students learn the origin of the different Venetian masks and then make their own.  They are also exposed to imaginary trips to Italy, exploring ancient monuments, churches and city squares.

REFUND POLICY: Full course refund will be given if a course is dropped before the first class. If a course is dropped after the first class, but before the second class, 80% of the course will be reimbursed. No refunds will be given if the class is dropped after the second class.
