Italian Women in Chicago — Looking Back and Facing Forward
Join us at Casa Italia’s ( Italian-American Veterans Museum – 3rd Floor) on Saturday morning, March 8 at 10:00 am for presentations and a discussion of the history and culture of women of Italian origin in Chicago. Featured Speakers are Gloria Coco, the first woman president of the Justinian Society and the first Italian woman Circuit Court Judge and Former Congresswoman, Debbie DeFrancesco Halvorson, the highest achieving Italian American woman in Illinois political history. She is the author of Playing Ball with the Big Boys. ALso present will be authors fro the anthology Italian Women in Chicago: Madonna Mia! QUI debbor vivere?. Join us for a lively discussion — unlimited networking potential!.
