In Fausto Brizzi’s 2006 teen comedy, two groups of Italian Students deal with life and love as they prepare for the dreaded esame di maturita, the final exams of Italian high school. At the center of the action is Luca, who needs to focus on his studies while falling for a classmate and currying favor with a teacher who may very well decided his academic fate. Set in Rome in 1989, the film showcases popular American & Italian songs from the 1980s.
