Mona Lisa is Missing – The Man Who Stole the Masterpiece
The world was shocked in 1911 when the Mona Lisa was brazenly stolen from the Louvres. Even more stunning was the eventual revelation that the thief was a humble Italian immigrant who kept it in his dingy apartment for two-and-a-half years. How did he do it and why? These questions ad more will be answered at the Chicago premiere of this award-winning documentary, which will feature a lively post-screening – Q&A with the film’s creators.
Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and screenings begin promptly at 7:30p.m. Complimentary beverages and popcorn are available. Admission is free, but reservations and free-will donations are encouraged.
