Chicagoland Italian American Professionals Present “CuccidatiFest” (La Festa Dei Cuccidati)

Sunday, December 10, 2017  –  from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

          The Chicagoland Italian-American Professionals organization is presenting the second annual “CuccidatiFest”, La Festa Dei Cuccidati, at the Casa Italia Chandelier Room, 3800 Division, Stone Park, on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

            The event will present awards for those bringing their own homemade cuccidati , local bakery-made  and the best from the Internet.

There will also be a baking demonstration of this traditional Sicilian Christmas fig cookie, as well as its history and origins.

The event is intended to recognize individuals who have preserved the tradition of making the cuccidati as well as highlighting local bakeries that still produce it.

Tickets are $20 and will include refreshments and cuccidati tastings from the contest entrants. In addition, cuccidati platters will be available for purchase at the end of the event with proceeds benefiting Casa Italia.
